Animated Card, MP4, PNG or Link: Which Greeting Should You Share?

The word share can hide several different outputs. A PNG is a still image. An MP4 can contain motion. A greeting link opens a webpage that can animate and preserve editable styling. Choose the format that fits the recipient instead of expecting every app to handle all three identically.

Match the output to the situation

A still PNG is simple when the message and a photograph are the main point. An MP4 adds a short moving effect and can include locally selected images. An animated link is useful when you want the recipient to open the card in a browser and see its design settings, but photos and logos are not uploaded into that link.

Put it into practice

• Use the clearly labelled output buttons rather than assuming PNG can animate.
• Preview the result before choosing recipients.
• Expect the receiving app to control captions, attachment support and the final send screen.

Messages and examples to adapt

For a quick personal picture: create a still PNG with the names and photo, then use the phone's supported sharing flow.

For a moving card: prepare the MP4, then tap the share action again so the phone can open its share sheet with the file ready.

Will the website send directly to a WhatsApp contact?

You choose the recipient and complete sending inside WhatsApp. The website prepares a file or link; it does not send messages to contacts automatically.
